Why do I publish it here and not in the social media? It is rather under my control and rather under your control if you want. I prefer distributed modell. I believe in the democracy of the internet and refuse the hegemony of the social media. You can follow me through RSS feed.
Thinking about the good and evil
Cooperate! This is the rule. Such tribal sentences as “America first” are against the cooperation.
When the plastic plowed into the soil is already in our bodies, and when we inhale the gases in the Arctic that are puffed into the air in China, then only sentences like “Humanity first!” or “Protect the earth!” make sense.
Anyway, it’s time for me to think about fairness for my own sake, because as I get older, I’ll be more and more impatient and irritated.
Control your financials
I was annoyed by applications that I’ve usually tried to use in netbank services, or as some kind of independent service. The cost categories included such labels as e.g. insurance, transportation, family, shopping … How should I categorize the insurance of my car ? Insurance or transportation? And when the whole family is travelling by car? Transportation or family? And what is shopping?
With a colleague of mine (already a former colleague) we decided to create a “useful” financial application. We came up with a lot of ideas, and then I was more or less left with the big deal. I outsourced the development to Vietnam. The low-budget minimum viable product is ready and available here. You can’t upload data directly from your bank, only over a csv file, but there are at least three cost dimensions:
- The goal – e.g. transportation,
- the device or service needed to reach it – e.g. insurance,
- and the beneficiary of the thing – e.g. family.
